Project VISO’s Kick off Conference
On Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the Casa della Contadinanza, next to the Udine Castle, was successfully held VISO project kick off conference.
The conference, which was attended by over 70 guests, mostly belonging to the agriculture wine and scientific sectors, was presented by Claudio Fabbro, known agronomist, winemaker and journalist.
After the welcome greetings of the Prof. Raffaele Testolin, president of the Institute for Applied Genomics, lead partner of VISO project, the morning session of the conference focused on the description of the project, exposed by the researcher and academic Gabriel Di Gaspero, team manager of the lead partner.
Two presentations of cross-border wine system, first prepared by the researcher Paul Sivilotti from the University of Nova Gorica and second by the agronomist Giovanni Bigot of the Bigot & Bigot Studio Associate, both partners in the project, followed.
The morning session ended with lunch, conceived also as an opportunity for direct introduction of some of the partners involved in the project, since it gave the participants the opportunity to taste some of the wines kindly offered by the Consortium "Colli Orientali del Friuli" and “Ramandolo" and "Consortium Brda", both VISO project partners.
The afternoon was then designated to a technical-administrative meeting of all partners involved.
It was a successful day – organized not surprisingly - on the first day of spring, under the auspices of an excellent ongoing working relationship between the partners that have already, during the conference in these early stages of collaboration, showed common intent that promises great future developments.
